Create a higher sequence homepage on the Interaction Hub that can be your entry page (ie with news, and select custom tiles). It will be the first thing the user sees when they login. You can have all the other tiles / homepages combine after this one, which is nice delivered functionality: Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service are used by HCM and FSCM so it makes sense to accommodate that paradigm. Obviously you could remove the homepages on the HCM system, but this will likely be problematic for subsequent upgrades and feature releases.Simon Chiuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00725901264932430161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787488812390277009.post-65590158436878601732018-09-05T21:22:50.019-04:002018-09-05T21:22:50.019-04:00Hi Simon - Excellent Blog. After enabling the SSO between Portal and HCM, the fluid Homepage get merged and this is causing confusion to the users. We are using Portal only as a gateway to get into other non-PS applications including PS HCM. We have created a fluid home page with 3 links in Portal. Now, I can see the HCM fluid homepage as well. Is there a way to control/hide the fluid homepage to be displayed on the portal. That should work... one caveat when adding a content reference to a project for migration, you need to also add the parent folder it resides in to the project (the objects referenced above, I believe, are correct). As for security: did you ensure the roles assigned also exist on the system that you are migrating to? You can double check security assignment by just adding the Peoplesoft User role to the CREF then try migrating to see if it appears on the destination.Simon Chiuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00725901264932430161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787488812390277009.post-23220152439866797652018-02-01T02:54:00.758-05:002018-02-01T02:54:00.758-05:00Hi Simon,

Can tiles be migrated without using ADS?

I read above the section on "Tile migration" which says to insert objs:
Portal Name: Employe
Object Names:
PORTAL_LP_TAB
PORTAL_GROUPLETS
Should we also include the above 2 objects into the project along with the portal structure of the tile? so that tile definition (security) is copied fully. The way it works, for example is that applicants cannot modify home pages, and they get their own home page: thus you can't customize it. This gets a little more complicated if you have multiple roles in the system, it could be possible to still add tiles to that homepage.

If you look into Fluid Dashboards, they are far less customizable than the homepages: you can even deep link to them ie have people log in directly to: https://piaurl/psc/ps/EMPLOYEE/EMPL/c/PT_FLDASHBOARD.PT_FLDASHBOARD.GBL?Page=PT_LANDINGPAGE&DB=CUST_DASHSimon Chiuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00725901264932430161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787488812390277009.post-83626074415418693402018-01-07T15:30:44.902-05:002018-01-07T15:30:44.902-05:00Hi Simon,
